To lose the chrome on top of the fender and retain a signal indicator you will need the 67 indicators available from year one.
you do not have to change the k-frame. Any A motor or B motor will bolt right in.
The motor produced 235 HP. which I consider generous for this motor.
The old 318 wide block is a mule of an engine, just lacks acceleration.
A 360 warmed over will run 12's in this car and will still get good gas mileage.
If funds are tight you can always start with a junkyard 360. I did this same swap 5 yrs. ago in my 67 and have never looked back.

Ok mopar guys lets talk, the car has a 318 "wide block" or "A" motor, what is factory hp on 2bbl I have heard everywhere from 235-275and are they are buildable, to what end. max hp???. would I need a new "K" member to go big block.
It has an auto is this a 727. so far good trans but we are talking about under 300hp so the thing hasn't been worked.
Out back an 8and3\4 rear and I can only spin one tire (they wern't one leggers were they)
Other changes with priority would be a Disc brake conversion, some nice classic wheels that fill up the rear wheel wells.
I am also thinking of deleating the crome strip on top of the fender to the taillight but I dont want to loose the turnsignal indicator on the fender.
Inside all it needs is front seats redone, carpet, and a tach.
When I finaly figure out what to do the big problem finding the funds right now build budget $0.00
