In 2002 I purchased a '72 Duster shell and a parts car from a mechanic just over the hill from me. It was a one owner (came with original Arkansas title) It had only 64k miles on it and was only on the road the first 3 years of its life. The mechanic's son was putting it together but needed college money. It came with a new floor and dash pad. 5 1/2 years later I've got it mostly ready for some pavement pounding. The big ticket items include a '71 440 built to around 600 HP, 727 torkflite w/ RMVB & GER 4200 ss conv. and a surgrip with 4.56's. Fresh front suspension w/ polygraphite items and .920 torsion bars, frame cons and a super stock rear suspension with 3" inboard kit. 12 gal. fuel cell, trunk mounted battery and NOS bottle for giggles in the trunk. I'm trying to get it to run with a Holley Dominator (for the Massively Over Powered Assault Rod look & function). I still have some things to do and then see what it weighs and do some test and tuning with it. It should do close to 3.5 zero to 60 times. The motor propelled a 3700# coronet to 11.7 @ 118. This WILL be the year of the pro street rumble in my little Stockbridge Valley, NY.
