this was my budget builder. i built the car for well under 3 grand; including the rolling shell. i bought a 1968 newyorker wit ha good running 440/727 with 71000 mi. the car sat for 12 years in a feild, i purchased it for 700. removed engine, trans and posi rear. sold the car to big time demo guys for 1000 bucks. cleaned and painted the engine , new timing chain, flushed oil through it and she was ready. then got intake carb headers valve covers reverse valve body, b/m shifter all off ebay cheap. the car runs a consistent 13.20's at 102. FOR UNDER 3000!! now that should be in the mag.

Love the car. I have a lot of cars. I have a 72 Cuda 340 4-speed car that has been sitting in my garage for the last 10 years. I have gone through the engine with Ross pistons, Isky Cam and hydraulic lifters. It has new connecting rods fitted to the reman crank. I found a brand new Mr. Norms supercharger kit and have put a Paxton supercharger on the new mill. Haven't driven it yet. No excuses except have too many projects going on. Bought the car about 12 years ago when it was misadvertised as a Barracuda by the original owner. It is a an original 70,00 mile car. I got taken big time. I paid $700.00 for it and it cost me about that much to make the brakes operable and get the jelly out of the gas tank and have the gas tank coated with the "red Nascar stuff". After seeing this website tonight, I have fire lit under my backside. Now I can go out in the garage and start planning my little reunion with this beast. (My wife thinks I am spending the rest of the evening on the internet and stated she was going "night-night with our two Bull Terriers.) Good night, I'm off to the garage with a large charge of motivation.
