Building the 408 was not bad.The biggest expense was
the forged Diamond pistons.I actually ended up with
less than 3 grand in the build but I also do all of
the assembly and I'm not counting my labor.I was
originally wanting to build a long rod version of
the 360 but I could not justify the expense for a
street engine.It is about as cheap to build a 408
as it is to rebuild a 360 assuming the same type
of parts are used in the builds.

holy crap, nice work. how much did the 408 set you back? im thinking of either supercharging my 360 or dropping in a 440.
