This car is an original slant 6 duster purchased new in '73 and kept in the family ever since. The transformation to Monsta Car included a lot of goodies and work all completed in our car port (minus the paint job). To start, we dropped in a .040 over 340 with 10.7 compression ratio strapped with an Edelbrock T5 single plane intake and Holley 4150 750 cfm carb. A set of Edelbrock Performer RPM heads top off the block with 2.02/1.60 valves actuated by a Mopar performance solid cam with .557 lift and an advertised 292 duration. The Hooker Headers (although painful to install) run back to a x-pipe and then through a pair of Warlock mufflers. The transmission is a 727 which we completely rebuilt with racing clutches and a Cheetah full manual reverse valve body actuated by a B&M Pro Ratchet shifter. The rear end is an 8 3/4 stuffed with 4.10's from Richmond Gear. Up front, all the suspension was treated to a full set of polyurethane bushings and new ball joints with KYB gas adjustable shocks. The rear had the leaf springs replaced with Mopar Performance Super Stock springs which were relocated 3" inboard on either side for added tire clearance. A set of Mopar Performance Drag shocks finish up the rear. The original fuel tank was replaced by a fuel cell which resides in the trunk and circulates through a cool can for those fun race nights. We only got to run it at the track one time because someone "really smart" here in Hawaii thought it would be a great idea to shut down our drag strip, but on it's first night out it managed a 12.20 at 110 mph, and that was spinning all the way through first and second.

Great looking car. I have never ben to Hawaii but I would think you have a lot of great days to get it out and enjoy it.Im in Missouri and use 3 or so months to do winter projects on my old B body.

This looks like one heck of a nice car. It looks like you did everything to Mopar spec. A street car with full interior that runs in the 12's, now that's what I'm talking about! Good job guys.
